Pi Alpha Alpha provides three major membership benefits: acknowledges academic achievement, provides job-searching and networking benefits, and indicates the opportunity to serve others through public service. Membership indicates to faculty, employers, and colleagues that you are a dedicated and intelligent student. You can indicate membership on your resume to improve appeal to employers and you can highlight the activities you participated in as a member. Additionally, membership indicates a choice to serve others through ongoing public service activities throughout your career path.

About Pi Alpha Alpha

Joining Pi Alpha Alpha is more than just an acknowledgment of academic success. It's an identification with a group of individuals committed to public affairs and administration. Members gain access to unique service opportunities organized by individual Pi Alpha Alpha chapters, allowing them to practically apply their classroom knowledge in local community contexts.

In addition to community involvement, members gain access to a vast network of peers and professionals in public service both domestically and globally. They can connect with this network through various platforms, including the Global Society's Facebook group. Moreover, membership in Pi Alpha Alpha is a testament to a candidate's qualifications and potential, signaling to prospective employers the member's exceptional capabilities.

Pi Alpha Alpha provides members the chance to visually celebrate their academic accomplishments by purchasing honor cords, medallions, and other such items, signifying their society affiliation. Furthermore, our members benefit from access to valuable job-seeking resources, such as NASPAA’s job board, which offers prospective opportunities and crucial career advice for students interested in public service.
